Simplifying Faith

Simplifying faith.

Many that go through the process of simplification do it as an act of faith.  The practice of decluttering takes on a higher dimension somewhere along the way for most who get deep into living with less.

Imagine what your life might be like with less distracting you from your spiritual pursuits.  Would you pray more?  Read more?  Serve more?  Give more?

Having time to connect with God is so refreshing.  Being unhurried before the Holy is a little piece of Heaven.  Pouring your heart out for yourself and others is such a gift.  To have this gift, you do well to have time.

Simplifying can help create that time.  Turn off the TV.  Close the magazine and laptop.  Get outside, or in your favorite comfy spot, and breathe out slowly.  Say, "I am here.  Hello again!"

You may hear a smile and a "hello" back.
